June 2019 Events

Hello friends! Welcome to June (summer is so close!). This month we’re excited to play three Douglas County shows, and we’re headed off to Kentucky to catch some blues and BBQ. Check it out…

TOMORROW! We jump right into things on Saturday, June 1 with a show at the Old Soul Pizza place downtown Roseburg. We will be on the outside patio as it is slated to be in the 80's that day. The show starts early at 3PM and we’ll be performing until 5:30PM. Their pizza is great (our favorite in town) and they have several local brews on tap. You should check this show out!

The band is headed to Kentucky to attend the W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival held this year June 12 through June 15. The festival is held annually in Henderson Kentucky. Why would the band go all the way to Kentucky to see this festival? The event is becoming one of the biggest annual blues events in the nation. Oh, and our front man Matthew Campbell hails from Henderson Kentucky. It could be that Mathew really just wanted to show off his home digs to the rest of the band. In any case, "The Haze" will be out of state for a while enjoying some good blues music and good BBQ. Watch our social feeds to follow the fun.

After Kentucky we are back and playing at Backside Brewery on June 21st 7PM to 9PM. That is a fun place to play and we love how energetic everyone gets! Lots of dancing, food, drinking, and good times.

We wrap June up with a show back at Lampligher Lounge in Oakland, OR on June 29. That is an 8pm to 10:30pm show.

May 2019 Recap

WHS had a few gigs for the month of May. The 10th and 11th saw us at the North Forty Brewery in Roseburg and The Lamplighter in Oakland. Both events were fun despite Matthew (frontman) suffering from a bout of food poisoning during the North Forty gig. Regrettably, we had to cut the second set short by about five songs. Big kudos to Matthew for the performance he put on - most people wouldn’t have known he was miserable. We’ll be back to North Forty in July (stay tuned for details) and ready to rock!

Our gig in May at Lamplighter celebrated their one-year anniversary. Our manager Wayne caught a great video of our Johnny B. Goode cover (scroll up if you missed it!).

May 24th found us back up in Saginaw Oregon at the Saginaw Vineyard’s Friday Night Live. Originally scheduled for a 3-hour outdoors show was moved inside due to the weather. We had our largest crowd there since we began playing Saginaw. That is a great venue hosted by some amazing people! We’ll be on the outside stage at Saginaw Vineyard in July. Stay tuned for details!

Outside Projects

Some members (Tommy) of the band have projects outside of Widespread Haze so we’ll give them a little love…
