Six months ago, when our front man Matthew announced that we would be releasing an EP of original music on Halloween this year, none of us believed him. We had no plans, no studio, no engineer - we hadn't even written all the songs! But we had a vision. With the help of legends like recording and mixing engineer Billy Barnett at Gung-Ho Studios, mastering engineer Steve Turnidge at UltraViolet Studios, our band-manager Wayne, some teamwork, and a little magic, we are ecstatic and surprised to announce that Matthew was telling the truth. "Mary in Marion", a six-song EP of original music by Widespread Haze, will be available on Halloween 2019!
Our community is our family, and no one knows the power of community like small-town Oregon. Tonight at North Forty Brewery, we are banding together in support of one of our community's brightest stars: Joshua Esterline of Acousta Noir. Josh has inspired us all in so many ways, and it will be an honor to perform at his fundraiser alongside Hektic Week and New Age Phonograph. Come show your support and keep our community shining bright!
Mark your calendars - Widespread Haze's EP Release Show and Halloween Costume Masquerade Extravaganza is Thursday October 31st at North Forty Brewery! Until then, keep your eye out for the Watcherman!
