Reverie of a Woodchuck
Numbers: the translucent scotch-tape holding our reality together. Numbers define us, as we define them, giving symbiotic context and purpose.
Twenty-nine is a prime number. It is the tenth prime number in fact, who's letters also count the number ten when written. The twenty-ninth number in the Fibonacci sequence is also a prime number - ending in twenty-nine. Saturn orbits the sun every twenty-nine years; Robert Johnson recorded twenty-nine songs in his lifetime; and the longest non-technical word in the First Edition Oxford English Dictionary had twenty-nine letters (bet you can't guess it!). In numerology, twenty-nine represents relationships, teamwork, compassion, diplomacy, and a drive to maintain coexistence.
"A rare kind of number for a rare kind of guy." Our lead guitarist Scotty Rifenbark passed away on January 29th this year. On February 29th, we gathered to celebrate his life formally after his tribute show at Draper's Brewing the evening prior. Thank you all so much for being there if you were able - you mean the world to us. In the spirit of Scotty and the number twenty-nine, it will be our relationships, compassion, and continued coexistence that will keep Scotty's prime memories and influence alive. Twenty-nine cheers for Scotty Rifenbark!

The seasons change, from dark to light; from frigid brisk to crisp and bright. New life springs from shadows fallen, as daylight sings to Winter's calling. At least according to Phil, Punxsutawney. ‘Till next time!
